Our goal is always to ensure your pool is in the best condition for you to enjoy when you want but part of great pool service is clear communication on what the pool service providers is responsible for and for what the customer is required to do. Below will help outline what you can do as a customer to ensure your pool is running its best in-between our service visits.

Customer responsibilities:

• Maintaining pool and spas water level. (water should be midway up the skimmer return)

• Ensuring debris from lawn maintenance is kept from going into the pool

• Keeping all trees, plants, and shrubs trimmed back from the pool

• Covers need to be removed, gates unlocked, and animals put up before the technician arrives

• Please contact POOLfection LLC at least 7 days in advance if you will be out of town for an extended period or before a party or special event that will cause your service to be rescheduled.

We will also inform the customer if there are any other repairs or required services that need to be made to the pool or the equipment. To ensure we can maintain your pool to our standard and what is outlined in our service agreement with you, we ask that you address these in a timely manner. Please keep in mind, that some requests that are not completed can result in your monthly payment increasing to cover extra labor or chemicals needed to maintain the pool while we are awaiting repairs or service.

We also want to be assured that each customer is aware of what types of chemicals are part of their normal service agreement. We include in your monthly service rate these chemicals:

• Chlorine (if applicable)

• Shock

• Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)

• Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer)

• Muriatic Acid

• Salt (one bag per quarter – if needed)

Occasionally, a pool may need additional chemicals above the standard list above to treat specific issues. For example, if you have your lawn sprayed with pesticides and it rains and water runs into the pool, we may need to you phosphate remover to treat. Or if your tap water has a high metal count and you fill your pool water, we may need to use a metal remover. While these are not normal occurrences, we do like to make customers aware that this may occur.

One other callout is storm season. As you know, in Florida we sometimes encounter severe weather, from powerful thunderstorms all the way to major hurricanes. Depending on the severity of the storm and the amount of rainfall and debris, there may be times where specific clean up services are required to get your pool back into the right condition. Most commonly, this requires debris removal or for salt pools, replenishing your salt levels. Any expenses under $100 will be charged automatically, per how it is outlined in your service agreement. If the expected expense will be over $100, we will reach out to you and discuss how we want to approach the situation.
